Jeep Wrangler Diesel Conversion

Recently had some exploratory talks with http://bruiserconversions.com They are located in Clearwater FL I had no expectations of what to expect cost wise but nonetheless I was still shocked at the $29.5K conversion cost without including the 2012 Wrangler to convert.

This company is using the Cummins 2.8L ISF off of the "world market" Due to cost and the addition of the VM Motori diesel to the Jeep Wrangler lineup I have ruled out this option but I still have friends interested in the Bruiser. Anyone out there have any first or second hand experience with the Bruiser Diesel Conversion?

First time hearing of the bruiser.
Well that was interesting. They do offer 4B options along with the ISF, and an option on that 4B is a gauge pillar with boost & EGT for $1000! Personally I would keep looking unless you have an unlimited budget. I have heard of a VW TDI conversion, which seems interesting to me. What kind of Jeep were you looking to do?

I was considering a 2012 Wrangler Rubicon. With the new Italian TD motor coming out next year for the Wrangler I believe the waters have become a bit murkier and I will wait.

Thanks for the J8 link. I flew F-16's in the USAF & USAFR and one of the great projects was Peace Marble which was the U.S. sales of F-16's to the Israeli Air Force. The IAF would take delivery of a Lockheed Martin F-16 then they would modify completely.....kind of like how the IDF modifies Jeeps. I have a fantasy of owning a diesel powered Land Rover Defender, I think I just changed my mind.
