Jeff,

I have attempted to contact you several times with no reply. You have had the KDP jig way too long and others are waiting to use it. There are now 9 people waiting to use the jig, just hoping that their trucks don't blow up while Jeff Burke has it for almost two months.

Please send it on to the next person.

The tool sharing program can be pretty frustrating at times. I've been waiting on a tool for going on 3 weeks now. My motor is apart and I can't even put it back together. Now THAT is frustrating. Everyday I go out and see how much more rust is developing on the cylinder walls because someone else is taking their time. Then I wipe it with oil to try to prevent any more damage.

So just think, for you guys waiting for the jig tool, it could be worse. You could be broke and waiting like me.

:(

Jeff, a week is enough for the jig. In the time you've hogged it 8 people could have fixed their problem.

I've found that most people that don't use the jig in the first two weeks they have it never use it, they just slow it down till they're badgered enough to pass it on.

Blake, if Jeff doesn't respond soon perhaps it's time to have someone on your list who lives near Jeff take a drive.

I have to admit, when I had the jig here a few weeks ago, I kept it for an extended period of time, but it was all due to the weather, and I had no control over when it rained. . It rained for almost 2 weeks straight, finally, I said the heck with it, either all or nothing, and went at it in the pouring rain. . I hope some can understand those circumstances. . but keeping it for no reason at all is a different ball game... . JMHO

Gifford in California sittin on jig too.......

I am having that problem in California. Gifford has had it for two weeks plus. I have 9 people on waiting list. I am still waiting for an email back from him. I just don't understand that.

When a person hogs a jig it's very inconsiderate to the jig keepers when they're forced to hassle people with numerous emails, phone calls and threads like this to get it moving. I've had hogs basically crash jig get togethers where many people had planned to use a jig months in advance because they won't pass it on. Rescheduling doesn't always work. Sometimes there's an legitimate excuse but most often not. Most of the jig keepers contact the person right before the jig is shipped to them to make sure they still want it or are in town. No response, no jig and off the list.

I've been thinking of ways to keep folks from hogging jigs like deposits and such but it just makes too much more hassle. I'm not a lawyer and don't know how legally binding we could make it, but one way that might work is to require the jig user sign a contract before they get a jig to pay $100 a week for every week over two that they have the jig. I think that would be enough incentive for most, if not even if the hogs don't pay we can at least wreck their credit rating. Why not, rental yards do it. Any ideas others may have are welcome, but something has to be done as this problem seems to be getting worse.

I am not in need of a jig but have them send their keys to the next guy and when they get done with the jig you send their keys back , heheheh

trip time

If he is close to anyone then what just knock on his door and ask him "why don't you send the Jig on to the next person".

Just a thought.

Oo.

Chris,

Yea i know what you mean! I sent a tool half way across the country next day air and the @%&^*& shipping co. puts it in a warehouse and lets it sit for FIVE days without notifying anyone! And then sends it back ground without calling the sender! That takes five days! And to top it off I had to pay for the return shipping when it was the shipping co's fault! Now I am out 50 bucks and another 200 for cod delivery again and my money is tied up for two weeks! There is always two sides to a story! But if some one is not communicating that is NOT right!! SEND THE JIG ON DOWN THE LINE!!!

KDP Jig

There needs to be a gentlemens agreement that whoever requests a jig will send it along to the next person by the end of seven days whether that person has had a chance to use it or not. If he hasn't had a chance to do the repair then he must get back on the list. :-{} :-{}

I got the jig from Larry. B. in tacoma on a monday. Killed 3 KDP"s with and had it back the following monday. The kit is awsome and very well made. The directions are great and there is no excuse to put it off and not send it down the line. Of all the 3 KDPs I killed the longest one took 4 hrs because we had to drive to town to try and find a bolt (lower alternator) that I had rounded off. If not for that the job would not have taken more than 1. 5 hrs.

Bottom line if you have the jig do the job. If a dummy like me can do it in 1. 5 hrs there is no excuse for keeping it more than a week. :(

I told Danelle jig keeper #8 and my wife that public flogging of jig pigs was ok, now look what I have done... ... ... ... .

jig keepers rise up comarades... ... . solidarity for the jig keepers

One of the fellows on my list had his pin fall out and he lost his engine because of it while waiting on the jig. Most fellows are realy good about doing the fix and moving the jig on, and a few others don't care.

Hey Blakers!

I fyou guys ever get the jig, and set a date, let me know!

Friend of mine lost his KDP back in Sept, and his 5th gear nut right after.

Its like all the bad TDR things were happening all at once.
