I just got a call from Jeff Egbal (sp?) through TDR TC who is broke down on I-64 at Exit 220 which is near Richmond Va. He's driving an 05 Ram. He states that he has no brakes but it sounds like what he really means is he has lost power brakes. He said when he finally got the pedal near the floor the truck lurched sideways on the interstate. He states that the rear wheels left two skid marks but he thinks that the front end only one side was braking. He also states that one front wheel was "smoking hot" Anyone whith any ideas what to check? He checked the brake fluid and power steering fluid and said it was OK. Any ideas? Ken Irwin

considering rams have antilock brakes he may have a problem if he left such skid marks. Also if the brakes smoked then he may have a leak of somekind(axle/caliper/ect) may have boiled the fluid as well, so a service /inspection is needed in any case.

Master cylinder went or brake booster for no brake condition.

Sticking calipers for front brake pull.

Check other brake post.

Thanks Ken for posting this for me. My truck is currently at Quinn Chrysler, Plymouth, Jeep Dodge in West Point, VA. Hopefully they can get to it soon and give me an idea on what the problem is.
