Cell phones and driving

Why you don't drive a Ford

I have to disagree, every time I call Summit it is like I have to beg them to offer any onfo or sell me their products.

I guess I should have rethought the choices. . but I was still kinda mad at Jegs at the time. MY two day air always seems to turn into 4 day air and I have to call and get the shipping refunded on it. But once again last night I called them, got excelent service(even talked to a mopar guy that new exactly what I was asking about) they had the new richmond spools in stock so I ordered one. I explained to him my four day air problem and he said "not this time" well see

Clark

PS I called 3 times and kept getting the same moron that kept saying yeah, thats it... its only ok to say that when I can tell you have looked something up lol.

I like Jegs but i have had great luck with Summit. The only problem i ever had with them was they once sent my AN fittings for Teflon lined hose when i asked for AN fittings for rubber lined hose. I called them and they Fed Exed me the correct fittings at NO CHARGE!. I was impressed, and grateful. Prices are great too.

When my first AutoMeter fuel pressure gauge failed (sending unit blew out) I had purchased it from Summit, and it took 5 phone calls to get it straightened out, and a refund sent... they refused to replace it, even went so far as to say that they called AutoMeter, and AutoMeter told them that it wasn't built for diesels. My buddy TradedV-10ForaCummins called AutoMeter, and AutoMeter explained about the horribly convoluted story full of mistaken details they had received from Summit, regarding my situation. (part of the Summit tall tale involved having the gauge blow up inside the cab, NOT a possibility unless aliens did it) AutoMeter told him the gauges/sending units were indeed strong enough to stand up to diesel. I took the refund and bought another one at www.carparts.com with a coupon my buddy gave me... it has held up just fine for over 3 months now...

I prefer Jeg's, or my local speed shop, when I can't get it online... Summit will never, ever get any of my business again, not after how ugly and stupid they were about the whole the whole thing.

I usually deal with Jeg's only because I can remember their phone # (simple). I have heard of plenty of recent screw ups when dealing with Summit. This last week I had placed a simple 4 item order with Summit only because I had just read an article about how the Coughlins are just throwing mega $$ into NHRA Pro Stock and making it difficult for hard working racers to make a living, and it got to me.

I ordered; 2 fuel Jugs, a funnel, and a set of ultraseal V. C. gaskets. They billed me and indicated on the invoice that they shipped everything- but there were no Gaskets! I called and they said they would ship another set ASAP. We'll see! I have had great results with smaller outfits like Mancini Racing, Matrtell Bros, etc. It really depends on what you need.
