Be careful with Jegs service. I ordered a carter black pump sunday with two day air. As of today, (thursday), I havnt recieved it yet. I call them and they "lost" the order. They are sending one, but it won't be here till Sat. Thats great, considering mine is dead, and the pull is Fri night.  But guess what, they didnt forget to bill my credit card with the "lost order". Just wanted to let everyone know, and blow off some steam!:D

I try to deal with Summit if I can to avoid Jeg's. I bought an Auburn limited slip differential from them and broke a couple teeth off a spider gear. They told me that I was out of my 90 day warranty, so I called Auburn to see if I could send it to them to be fixed. They told me that they changed their warranty to 1 year, so I was covered under warranty. Called Jeg's and they still did'nt want to cover my warranty. After plenty of :-{} I got it replaced.

That was after they sent me the wrong one the first time. So I had to pay shipping both ways on the wrong one, shipping both ways on the one I broke, and shipping to my house on the current one.

I dealt with them before numerous times, but that one time has led me to deal with Summit now.

I only use Jegs as a last resort when I can't find what I need at Summit. A few years back I ordered 2 wheels for my '70 Cuda. They sent me a used wheel. Of course I sent it right back and they gave me a new one. Kinda left a bad taste in my mouth.

I went through 2 pumps that both lasted 10 seconds from jegs, they took them back no questions asked, only problem is it cost you around $7. 00 handling each time they ship something to you. Not sure about Summit.

Can't say that I have ever had bad service from either. The only peeves that I have with Jegs is that there web site does not let you know when something is on back order when you place an order on their site. I have had two different orders placed with them only to get a call the next day telling me that it was on back order. The summit web site lets you know if something is on back order when you put it in your shopping basket.

Also, for my area I can usually get my package within two days of ordering it from Summit with standard shipping. Jegs takes a day longer. Usually I order at the last minute, so every day counts.

I've had pretty good luck in the past with Jeg's, but a while back I ordered an electric choke (for a new holley 2bbl that I had purchased from them) and it had one linkage for one style but didn't have the correct lenth or bend:eek: , so I sent it back and said P. . s on it , and even told the guy I ordered it through 3 times what carb it was for :--) part #. but thats ok , I've had the same with Summit too. life goes on... .

Ditto, plus all Autometer gauges are $. 04 cheaper at Summit.

example, a Guage costing $44. 95 at Summit, costs $44. 99 at Jegs.

I bought a pair of koni struts for my car. Thay sent me two struts no mounting hardware looked as if someone else had bought them and couldent git them to fit. Called them and thay told me sorry thay didnt have any more in stock and it woulde take around a month to replaice them. Its funny it only took them four days to get me the mounting hdw. and adj knobs. Call me funny but when I spend $400. 00 on two struts I would like to recive a brand new product. So for thare great service every order I make is with summit .
