Competition I need Pulling or Drag Video's

Competition So, Who has won this year??????

Last night went to Jesup and I can it was worth the 360 mile round trip. The Cummins powered trucks ruled. Dave Mitchell truck impressed me and a life long Ford psd friend. This friend is now looking to join the winning team.

Can you remeber the results of pulls, or know of anywhere they are posted? Wish they had pulls down here. These Texans don't know what they're missing. :p

Scott

Friday, Dave, Black Dog, me.....

Saturday, Black Dog, Darryl, Dave, me, Rob Thomas.

Two Fords got crushed Friday, they did not return Saturday.

I'll post more later.

Scott,

I was at Munice last year, i DO know what we're missing. :(

I think the 2 Fords were Bob Rilley(sp) and PowerSnorter.

Rob Thomass,

Keep trying!!

I wasn't going to say a thing... ..... ;) :D

Robs Mitchell clutch pulling debut went well- he only lost to one Ford!!

The next night, his jitters were gone, and he used the throttle, and snuck within one foot of me. It is hard to come out of the hole wide open, when you have never had a clutch hold before. He has it figured out now!!!!!!!!

It was the first time Black Dog and I pulled against each other, that one of us did not break, a moment for rejoicing!

However, my hitch is now bent in a"U"!! Way past time for an upgrade!

Somebody else bent something also, now who was that?

One thing worth noting:

Friday night, Darryl lost a yoke. They reset the sled (lighter), but he could not come back and pull again, so he got last. Kind of a rotten deal, but that is the way it goes.

Saturday morning at the hotel, I was up early checking my truck out to see what may have been tweaked, I thought I was the first one up, but Dave Mitchell was already stomping about rooting through tool boxes finding enough parts to get Darryls truck running again for that night.

By the time Darryl rolled out of bed, (the extra beauty sleep did him no good whatsoever) the old u-joint was out of the driveshaft, and it was time for a parts store run for a socket to fit the yoke nut.

I think I speak for all of us when I say thanks to the Mitchells for the good times and all the help!

Kid, your spelling needs work. You and stakebutt musta had the same school teacher.

Gene, it wasn't JUST a ford, it was Frank's (Powersnorter) ford, I was happy to be within 4' of him on Friday, to bad he broke, I would have redemed myself on Staurday. :D

It was a nice weekend, good weather, good freinds, and a great pull! Can't wait for next year!

Also I want to thank Dave and Loretta Mitchell for they're advise, and answering my questions, and an awesome clutch!

Gene, I got yer number now, me and you at Muncie!

See you at the track! :p

Later, Rob

Oh yes, I forgot, the most powerful PSD on the planet, the first coast to coast Hi-Po Diesel puller! That make you feel better Rob? :D

AND, Frank had a set of 34" Giant Puller bar tires, he was loaded for bear, but just wounded a cub!

Maybe if Rob wasn't grandstanding, picking his dump bed up and down the whole way down the track, ripping down PA lines and what not, he would have got that Ford!

Gene, do you know why I was last? I had the fourth place pull in length, with the sled set heavier than everyone else pulled!

It does not matter that I was last , just want to undrestand!

That is why I said it that way DD! Try to keep up, old boy!

I see that everyone made it home... hope everything went well on the trip back. I had it pretty easy, b/c Dad drove all the way home, I kept telling him I would drive but he kept tellin me to go back to sleep... lol. Hey Darryl, how'd that new rig tow home??. For further reference, photos of the pulls will be posted at www.lindasphoto.com shortly from what I was told. Like Gene said, it was a blessing that we both held together for the first time when pullin against each other.

Eric, rig pulled great for Curt. He wanted to pull it all the way home. I want to thank you again for the parts to repair my truck, with out your parts, I would not been able to compete against you in a pull off!

I have figured out a great way to pay you back! You will find out soon.

Tell your Dad I said hi.

Thanks,

Darryl
