they could ticket him for that if they wanted... and honestly if i was a cop, i would give him a written warning, no ticket. cool toy though. i think he has too much money and free time, but to each his own.

A T58 doesn't have an afterburner, but he never mentions that he built it himself. Afterburner design isn't trivial... unless it's just "for show" and doesn't really produce much thrust. If the afterburner were engaged on a fixed nozzle like that I'd expect the engine to stall (backpressured the turbine).
