That KDP jig is tops... Thanks CPFF.

I did both of our trucks in just over 2 hours. It was just slightly more complicated than changing the belt!!! and probably easier than changing the fuel filter.

I highly recommend anyone who is concerned with their KDP to use the jig if they can. It is well designed and downright simple to use. Now I have the piece of mind knowing it shouldn't happen to me... .

Thanks again... ... . Oo.

Congrats on the fix. I'm sure you can rest a little easier now. Just curious what # jig you used. I guess you will no longer be needing the midwest jig.

Take care,

Ryan

Ryan, he used the NW jig, did the fix in Wyoming. The person the jig was sent to was the last on the list...

Do you need another one?

I think it was the #3 jig if I'm not mistaken...

Thanks Cooker you can take me off of the list. I spend most of my time in Davenport, IA going to school but over my summer break I go back home to Wyoming. When I contacted you the midwest jig wouldn't be available until late July and with my schedule I wouldn't have been able to do the fix until later in Sept. At almost the same time Illflem posted that there wasn't a wait on the one he supervised but didn't want to send it to Davenport so I told him about going home to Wyoming and he consented. And by sending it to Wyoming I could get not only my truck fixed but my Dad's 96 during my summer vacation. It all worked out great. Thanks to all the guys who take the time to manage these jigs and CPFF for making them in the first place...

Thanks.....

Another KDP bite the dust

Just a postscript to Oil Ape's post. I recently went to Brandon's place in Modesto, CA and used the jig to kill another KDP. With Brandon's help, it was a piece of cake. Multiple thanks to Brandon for his generosity and helpful attitued, and to CPFF for his ingenious device and willingness to share. :D
