Windstar transmission help!!!

New truck, which one?

Anyone here of tractors made by Jimna? I guess it's a European company from what I see searching on the web.

My Dad just bought one. 3 cylinder, 35hp diesel, 4x4, enclosed cab, bucket on the front, snowblower on the back. With tax and all right around $16,000.

It's to replace the old worn out 1979 1/2 ton Chev "plow truck". It's got a crapload of miles and it's been beat to death. Still has the factory driveline... engine, trans and axles haven't been touched other than routine maintenance... not so routinely done even.

I found this on the web

The following is general information on the Jinma series of tractors that are imported from China. It is meant to assist the prospective buyer in determining if this tractor is right for them. This information comes from being a Jinma 254 owner, hanging out at the Chinese Tractors Owner Association (CTOA) board, and the information provided by its many contributors.

ONly issue I could see is parts. As long as you have a good dealer that can get parts probably be not too bad. That is one of the reasons the John Deeres are so nice. They have a huge dealer database.

The place my Dad is buying it from is a full service dealer, so he should be ok. It's got a 1 year warranty.

Personally I would have paid the extra $$ for a Kubota or something, but that's my Dad.

Took forever to convince him to stop by Harbor Freight crap. He'd get all ****** off when we broke a tool and would get even more ****** when we tried to explain it was a huge piece of cheap chinese crap. :-laf
