One Tough Dodge Ram

isc 260 hp no start

In the past I have taken my truck in for lub jobs and I have heard them comment on limited number of points to lubricate. Today I decided to crawl under the 2000 myself and could only find two regular zerk points on the steering arm assembly. Seems that there should be more that just two points for lubrication. I looked in my $125 Dodge book and found limited information on the subject.

Anyone know how many points of lubrication there should be on a 2500 ?

Unfortunately, the grease fittings were not there in great numbers. There are only 2 on my '03, only at the outboard tie rod ball joints. The new cab/chassis trucks have more again, much like the "first gen" trucks did. When you replace ball joints and universal joints, specify that you want the greasable kind. I got mine at NAPA, made in USA, when I replaced the 4x4 universal joints on the front axle of my '96.
