Archived Jordan Brake Controller Problem

Does anyone know much about the Jordan 2020 Brake Controller? I installed one last night, and tried it for the first time today. After several pushes of the pedal and manual button and seeing the trailer brakes lock up it is now not working at all. I tried the gain up and down but get no trailer braking and a 88. 8 reading which means short circuit. I am getting 12 volts on the blue wire at the controller at all times. Shouldn't I only get voltage when the brakes are applied or the controller is turned on manually? Any ideas what else to look for? Gotta figure it out before Friday morning.

Quick update: I found a shorted wire inside one of the axle tubes. Brakes seem to be working now, will test them on the road tomorrow. Still not sure if the blue wire should have power at all times, but seems like it may and just amperage changes.

Many controllers use a voltage signal to assess brake connection status. This means that voltage is always present

That makes sense, there is a continuity light that goes on when the trailer is plugged in. Thanks

I left a message with Jordan research yesterday about a problem I was having. Jordan returned my call today and told me the blue wire will have power all the time, just little current until brakes are applied. Great, fast service. #1
