Sittin' Too long in one spot

Starting to get equipped for 5th wheelin'. Decided on Jordan controller. Anyone used these with electric/hydraulic brakes? Owner says works on some, not on others. Where is best price? Thanks!

This guy has the jordan for the best price I have seen

http://www.bestbrakecontroller.com/ If you have adjustable pedals be sure to tell them as it requires an additional bracket.

As far as having used it on electric over hydraulic brakes, I can't answer that. Are You using it on one of those new Disk Brake systems that are starting to show up on campers now?

This electric/hydraulic problem is not exclusive to the Jordan - it affects a number of controllers. The problem is that these controllers send either a continuous or pulsating millivolt (extremely small) signal out the blue brake wire and look for a milliamp (or even microamp) current to prove continuity between the brake wire and ground - this is how they get their signal to illuminate the "trailer connected" LED. It all depends what the electric/hydraulic trailer brake actuator does when it sees this signal - some respond and try to apply the trailer brakes; others don't.

The BrakeSmart controller claims compatability with electric/hydraulic trailer brakes, I believe.
