I just got done wiring my bed connector in my2002 for the 5th wheel. Everything is wired to the standard.

When I hook up to the camper, my Jordin gives me a green light (means its hooked up) All lights work fine.

When I press the "apply" button, the amp meter says 00. 0 (It should read around 7. 0)

So I disconnected the trailer and put a test light between the brake and ground terminal, again I have a green light. I press the apply and the display shows 00. 0. (I can't see the test light to see if it lit)

Next I short out the brake and ground, press the button and it shows 88. 8 (which means shorted).

So I connect the trailer again, and screw around with the brake adjustment on the controller, and it starts to work!, I show current, and as the current goes up, the green light gets dim.

After a couple minutes it starts to show 00. 0 again.

Do you think I have a wire problem or a jordin problem? I only towed with this controller once last fall and it worked fine.

I guess I should try it in the factory hitch connector and see if it works there.

I've used a Jordan controller for over two years, having only one problem. I called the factory. It is a small operation and the owner responded to me, very quickly and professionally. Look for the toll free number on your instruction pages and give him a call. He will help you.

I think you have an open circuit in the brake wiring in the trailer itself. I've heard you can put a compass next to each wheel when the brakes are on to verify that each brake is working. You could also test them by pulling the pin on the emergency brake switch on the trailer.
