My system was installed in Dec of 2001. The pipe over the axle just cracked and separated about 3/4 of the way around the pipe. Sure seem that the system should last longer than 2 1/2 years. Was installed by JRE distributor in Imlay City, United Automotive. All Jannetty will do is give me a 15% discount for the system from the muffler back. Great deal?

Has anyone had a problem with one of their exhaust systems breaking apart. There was "ZERO" rust on the broken area, so that was not the cause.

I just bought a Jannetty system the pipes seem very HD. I had a Jardien system on it before. I am suprised to hear of your trouble. Is there evidence of the installation causing the problem?

You said the pipe just over the axel? I have the JRE 4" as well.

That is the pipe with the most bend in it, 90 Deg. I have worked with metal most all of my working life (25 years).

This sounds like a stress point due to the bender, but the real problem is in the pipe itself has a defect if you will. The bender just brought it out. No way you or your truck could have done any damage to break a pipe at that place.

I would bring this to Ted’s attention and see if he could bend you another one. Just ask him how many pipes have failed at this point? How many that have sold have broken?

This could be a fluke "bad pipe" the bender just did the rest. Or this could be an over stretch caused by a bad bend and then a rebend causing the metal to fatigue and eventually break. OverFueled

The problem was the hangers were never installed on the back of the muffler per the instructions Causing undue stress on the tail pipe, but he didn't tell you that part.
