I just posted the following on the 24v forum, I went searching for other 1/4 mi times out there and found this thread. I didn't have time to watch my EGT's as I was VERY busy in the truck (with two feet to run three pedals simultaneously!!) on the 1st three runs (these were my first runs ever down the 1/4 with a manual in a vehicle and I haven't run the 1/4 in 11 years) but on the last run I watched it and I hit a max EGT of 1050 pre-turbo. Not bad eh?

Just got back from Stanton raceway here in Michigan. Ran my truck down the 1/4 four times - my best ET was 17. 372 and best MPH was 79. 41!!!!

(all the times at the bottom of the msg) My race weight was 7250 lbs and I calculate that out to 273 RWHP by ET and 283 RWHP by MPH. Holy cow that was fun (but awfully hard on the all-terrains)!! I figure I lost a full second due to shifts (started in 2nd and I'm guessing at . 25 seconds per shift). The first round of eliminations I ran against a Chevy S-10 ZR2 regular cab (with an auto) and he ran a 17. 060 to my 17. 817 (my dial-in was 17. 8)! If I had an auto I would have been faster than him - I figure his truck weighs half what mine does! I beat him as his dial-in was 17. 25. Unforetunately I had to leave the track for a family get together - it killed me!! Two guys walked past my truck when I was in the staging lanes and laughed. After my run they came back by and said they had to apologize as my run was d. . n impressive!!

I've never run a manual down the 1/4 before and man what a handfull. For my burnouts and staging I used the heel of my right foot on the brake and the toes on the throttle - I felt like I was rubbing my tummy and patting my head. Hardest thing was getting the truck to hook up - during one run a bystander said I was spinning all the way through the 60 ft lights.
