I just installed my 4" JRE exhaust. This is how the Cummins should come outfiited on our trucks. The sound is awesome I love going through town in between the buildings. The trubo sound is great!!!!:D:D

JRE

Ok here is one for you/you'll, as I see it JRE is $580. 00 for the 4" system and Jardine is $432. 00(TDR Discount). What is the difference, nothing against anyone cause there all out to create a business like all of us wish we had, Opinions are wanted.

Never saw or heard a Jardine system. I saw and heard the JRE and simply said that's what I need. I'm not saying one is better than the other. Just got what I wanted.

Have you ever compared the two in sound? Thats the main difference, as well as the muffler used. I have the JRE and I like it, ecspecially soundwise.

I have the Jardine system and am really happy with it. It is quiet at idle and part throttle but has a really good sound at full throttle. I have heard quite a few 4" systems... BDs, DDs, ATSs, JRE, Banks & Jardine. I think all are good systems. I have known and dealt with Jerry for many years, back to the time he was in CA. And the Price was good:D :D

JFulmer, the JRE exhaust system cost 550. 00 not 580. 00.

The reasons for the difference in price are many.

I Do not have a mandrel bender so I have to sub out that portion, we use 14 gauge aluminized tubing others use 16 gauge, our muffler is larger and more expensive than others, our tail pipe is adjustable for exit position, others are not, we use a cone adapter at the turbo others use a step adapter.

I hope this clears things up a bit.

Thanks Ted

Sorry for the incorrect price post, yes that does clear things up quite well and I hear what your saying about the mandrel bender(there quite pricey).

Jim

I have heard just about every exhaust on the market and would have to say that the Jardine is at the top. Jerry told me at Muncie that his exhaust are built with 14 guage. The one thing that seperated the Jardine from the rest in my opinion was that they don't have the drone that others do. Plus the price is great.

No drone here either. And in "my" opinion the JRE sounds better then the Jardine in "my" opnion. Its a personal preference on the sound thing.

A strage sound experience

The last 100 yards or so our drive is uphill at about 5-6%.

Untill last Sat. I had never been home when my truck with the Jardine 4" system came home--I am allways in it>

My wife is on the local library bd. of dir. and volunteered my shop to store excess donated books. She took the truck to bring home a load of books and when she got home I was in the shop and heard this "big rig" comming up the drive (hidden by trees). I could't immagine what "big rig" would be comming at 5:30 PM. on a saturday.

What a surprise when my truck came into view. I had no idea that with a load up hill it sounded like that.

I've had my JRE for about 2 years now and love it. I think it's just a personal preference. I have no drone. I do like it when I pull into the parking garage and set off all the car alarms:D

JRE

I installed my JRE about 3 mths ago and love it, sounds great and no drone sound. 100% satisfied worth the extra money... . Dwayne:cool: :D :)

I, too installed the JRE exhaust and to date am very happy with it. And, like others, enjoy the comments about the "noisy truck". My neighbors hate it:D
