I went to my local RV store a couple of weekends ago and purchased a set of these JT's RV Strong-Arm Supports for my 2005 Jayco Eagle 298 BHS. This trailer had enough side to side movement when on the spot with jacks down to wake me in the middle of the night. I saw these supports, checked the price, swallowed hard and bought them. $499. 00. Expensive! However, with that said. After installing them this weekend they were worth every penny. Even with the slide out that trailer was solid as a rock. I called Don Blythe twice with installation questions. He was easy to talk to, very knowledgable of the product, and best of all, very helpful. He sent me pictures of an installation to aid in doing mine. can't say enough good things about this product. The pieces are very beefy and they send ample parts to cover every scenario of installation. There were a couple of suggestions I am going to send them on the installatiopn so we'll see what happens.

HP, I'm sorry I am such a rock when it comes to digital photos and posting. I would be glad to send you photographs of the installation. I understand privacy concerns and would not be offended if you didn't want to give that info out. The instructions were fairly clear although I found two areas where clarification would have saved me time and kept me from bending a part. Don sent me pictures and when I saw the pictures, everything cleared up. On my Jayco, the rear jacks are 17" forward from the end of the frame rails. There is no crossmember at the termination of the rails. I need to add one so I can install the rear stabilizers. They have a different way of setting your trailer down. The instructions tell you to level side to side, then lower the nose 3/4" to 1", set the rear jacks down evenly, then lift the nose. They don't specify whether to lift with the tongue jack or the stabilizers. I lifted with stabilizers and the trailer is just solid. I'm thinking that may be wrong and the 1" should be lifted with the tongue jack, lower the stabs and then tweak the tongue jack just a bit to put more weight on the stabs. I'don't know. Their way worked perfect. Just makes me a little nervous picking all the nose weight up with the stabilizer jacks. Is your Jayco a 5'ver or TT? Feel free to PM me. Dave

Dave:

Don't worry about the posting of the pictures, I still can't figure out how to get my sig on here. :D

My RV is a 2005 27BH TT, and my wife and the girls really love it. We use it year round and took it up skiing 2 weeks ago for the first time.

I must say though, I am wishing I had gone to a bigger fifth with at least 1 large slide. I may look into upgrading in the summer or late fall.

I will PM you with some details for pictures if you have the time.

Thanks for the response,

HP
