Trailer pulling with a 2007 6.7liter

Price for hauling 3 cars to CO.

Hey All, First summer trip with the J/A, AFE filter, setup towing the 30ft fiver. What are the ideal settings for towing?,I understand the "level 2",but what about the more "advanced settings" like boost, most responsive, etc. I hit the boost alarm at I think 37 lbs. just towing it home? What 4 displays do you keep displayed at all times. I'm going to study the manual again, just would like some real world experiences. Thanks! Eric BTW-It is an auto transmission...

I tow on level 1 and 2. Responsiveness set to lowest setting. I set the boost alarm at 41. Temp alarm at 220. MPH alarm at 80. I keep the RPM, boost, EGT, and coolant temp on my display. Level 3,4,5 I keep responsiveness high for playing around. I would set it up for defueling at TC slip for sure. For the most part though, I tow with Juice set on "0" about 90% of the time. She pulls great stock.

Thats just me. Im sure there are more qualified people out there to give you better info.

I tow on any of the three lower setting and I usually keep the "low boost fueling" at 3 or less. Sometimes on level 1 I'll kick up the low boost for more bottom end. I have EGT, Boost and Fuel Pres. on the dash so on the Attitude from top left going clockwise I am currently showing MPH, Intake temp (that one changes a lot),engine temp, boost. I like having the MPH showing so I don't have to look thru the steering wheel all the time. I use the Attutide MPH more than the truck's speedo.

Lately I've been towing on 3-1 or 3-3 a lot. For whatever reason my truck was down on power so I kicked it up from 1-3 to 3-1. Kinda nice. But I have to be careful with the go-pedal 'cause that's a lot of power to be grossing 40K with on a stock clutch and turbo.

I like 3-1 better than 3-3 'cause I don't have to be quite so careful then. Less soot to scrape off the trailer as well.

Well mine is an 02 with a handshaker, i tow my tractor on level 1x5 as this is the only way to keep the EGT's in check while pulling hills. I do have rv275's so this is the main reason for being on level 1 instead of level 2(tow). I use the 3 view set up, with EGT on the left half and fuel psi on the right top and boost on the right bottom, with all alarms off (i do keep a close eye on it, probally more than i should) but let it defuel at 1400*.

:)It is good to hear some of the setting J/A users are using, I tow my 15k teton at 3 with the alarms set as follows, temp 220, slip on, exhaust 1350. I run the truck at level 3 all the time and have noticed very little difference in fuel economy and the response it great. The only alarm that has gone off was temp when I had it set at 215. Love the J/A.
