I have had the Edge Attitude Juice on my '06 since it was new... ... ... . In the last 2 years it seems to be going UNION on me.

After about 12 hours on the road, the display will freeze. The only way to un-freeze it is to turn the ignition switch off and restart the truck. Then it will play for 30 to 45 minutes and freeze up again.

Give it the night off and it is ready to go again... ... ... for about 11 to 12 hours and then it goes off again.

Anyone experience these symptoms... ..... ??

Barry,

First things to check are the electrical connections on both the underhood box and the Attitude. Doesn't the Juice main module's power come from one of those fuse taps in the underhood fuse box? That would be the first place to look.

What about the plug that goes from the Attitude Monitor to the Main Module. You may want to reseat that one and possibly add some dielectric grease as well.

Go back and check all the connections and see if that makes a difference.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanx Mr. Poe,

Here is another twist. I use my fog lights as running lights... ... ... alot. This does not have any apparent effect on the module.

But, when it gets dark and I add headlights into the mix, an hour or so later, the display freezes.

As Bo Pilgrim would say, "Its a mind boggling thang. "

I have an 06 as well with the juice and haven't seen any issues with freezing up. Make sure the Edge pwr tap into the fuse box is in the aux 15amp and not hooked to your headlights. I have seen it before where someone has a ton of extra's hooked into the fuse box, so they will run the red power tap wire for the Edge to the lights or something else that is 15amp. Also Edge products is on Facebook and you can ask them directly through there. I made the choice to spend eternity non smoking:)

I have been fighting an Edge Comp for a few years. When the temps drop below 35* I have to cycle the Ign. key a few times to bring it back to life. I also thought mine was frozen in level 2. After messing around with it I found out if I hold the power up/ down button for about 8-10 seconds it will move one level.

I not sure how the Edge Attitude Juice is configured but if it has up/down buttons you may try holding the down for a bit.

As soon as I can save enough cash I will donate my Edge Comp to the trash man.

OK, days are getting longer. Left early am yesterday with fog lights on. Ran all day with fogs on. Got home 13 hours later with fogs on... ... ... ... Juice still working.

But if I turn on the headlights, withing 15 to 20 minutes, the display will freeze.

Whadiyathink?
