Houston Meeting this Sunday?

Well,

How was Maine? How were the sandrags?

I went to Derby and got piersified there. My new PDRHX35/14 is a kick in the pants on the highway. I'll post my results when I get back from MD. It was a good thing we did it in Derby too considering that changing out my HY left me with needed parts so off to Home depot we go.

Overall we had a good time. Sold my HY35 to Rabbittree for his rabbit. :-laf Can't wait to see that spool up. :D Remember Deo, We Want Pic's!

Sorry I couldn't make it to Maine - I am disappointed I wasn't able to go. I am trying to make plans to go to schieds though. :p

Post your comments here and I'll touch base in the middle of or at the end of my trip.

Macktruck,

You missed out on a dhaan good time. You didn't get any lobstaah, burgaahs, steamaahs, or sweet cooan. What is wrong with yah? Do not pass go, do not collect two hundred dollahs!

Dishong busted an input shaft for the high drama. We pushed it up onto a trailer, more high drama, and Tim J towed him home.

Someone who shall remain nameless, put gasoline in his tank about forty minutes from the fair providing still more high drama. Anyone care to give Kevin a hint, with his initials?

We wandered around on the fairgrounds looking at horses and cows and sheep (good lookers those sheep), went on the rides (sorry no sheep rides), shot in the arcades, ate the carnival food (did you know Joe loves Kettle Korn?), and slept beneath the stars (not far from the sheep).

Then there was the sand drags. Classes ranging from kids on ATV's, it was pretty clear that they spent all of their allowance, lawn money, and most of their father's allowance too on those ATV's -- they go down the track pretty well, like 50+ mph; on up through the 4wd pickups to the serious sand dragsters, "Sorry son, you can't go to college because your father is born to SAND DRAG!!!".

Tim J represented us well, as did BigDaddy. They both had ***** eatin' grins from blazing down that track. Holshot's sweetie, Pretima, and I rode on the Apollo, and we were ***** eatin' green for about a half an hour. That was one ride that neither of us could say was too short.

The trip up and back was awesome as usual. The only thing that was missing was a little wrenching under the ol' shadetree. Your turbo would have fit the bill just perfect, but were you there? NO!

Just what is wrong with you? You finally get a radio, now when are you going to get up the courage to use it? Speak up! I'm listening... .

Matt the elder

matt, were you on the convoy with scott and the others? i came up to an intersection, saw the tdr boys, and turned around... doing about 75mph trying to catch up. everyone must have turned off somewhere:confused: where did they go? even though i would have been beat, i wish i had made it up in time to race...

Yes I was, we went to the fair, where did you see us? Would have been great to have you in the convoy. Do you have a CB?

yeah, i got on channel 19 a little later, but no one was there. i saw the group (a group at least) many miles out *after* cornish for the group. i was in the black 2500 coming from southern ME with a chevy truck behind me. oh well, i'll race next year.

I believe at that piont we were on channel 25 and only Wheaties an I had radio's. afew others went on ahead to register to race.

98rammer: I spotted you while we were all lost in Maine somewheyah... . Them signs that tell yah wheyah the fayuh is are a bit small...

Kevin, you missed out on what I would consider to be one of the best days of my 23 years here on Earth. I owe it all to the membership of the TDR... . we belong to a group of guys/gals that are 2nd to none.

Matt

98rammer,

Yup, that sounds about right. So if you were headed west into Cornish while we had already gone too far east, you could have turned around and gone blazing past while we had pulled into a tiny camp area to turn around and head back west.

You can't make this stuff up, and if you try to plan it, you'd only screw it up. :p

At least we got to see you at the fair!

Holeshot,

We think you're pretty special all by yourself! I don't know too many that are willing to eat off the floor... .

ah yessah. i went back into standish and turned around again, ayuh. then went through cornish while a few miles out my friend said he saw the sign in cornish. instead of arriving at 9:45, we got there around 11. oh well. man you guys had gone at least 10 miles too far  that's what confused me... lost?, someone at a camp?, gettin' food? oh well, back to the daily grind now.

Don't feel bad... . I ended up taking a bit of a different way home. :-laf

I wound up near Lake Winnipesaukee (musta took a wrong turn... ) went through Meredith, NH, took rt. 104 to 93S and I was headed home... . I went to ME for the sand drags and somehow it felt like I should be coming home with the boat in tow since that's the route we normally take... .

Just before we got off 104 and onto 93... . we slept in the paaaking lot of a gas station from about midnight until around 5AM. And to think that Tim offuud to let us stay in his truck campah... .

You guys/gals rock!!

Matt - a. k. a. "Frank and beans"

ah, i just took 25 west to 16 (then i knew where i was) and headed straight down to rochester to my dad's house. well, i gotta go considering there's a severe storm warning right now and black clouds 2 miles no-ahth of heyah, ayuh!:--)

btw, get some more pics of the stack and twins up!

Anyone? Anyone??

So I missed a good time..... Oh Well, there is always next time... ... .

Darren

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Darren, you really did miss out in a HUGE way... . they even had foot-long corndogs! I know how much you love corndogs!!

Hearing Wheaties and my GF both screaming like women on the "Happy Go Pukey" ride was priceless.

Matt

Screaming like women? I thought I was laughing my ass off. Musta been someone else.

Darren, you missed the best corndogs! Absolutely the best!!

I do remember hearing the following phrase just before the ride stopped with both of you upside down: "Oh no!... . Not this again!!... . Aaaaah!!!"

Matt :-laf
