Are the mod class guys going to pull at Stoneboro this year?? Have they gotten over there fear of "the horse track" ??... lol :)

I had 6 committed unitl Dave ruined an injection pump on SP2. He thinks it will be back by Friday, though. You just can't let Dave have nice stuff.

Thats not a horsetrack, its a rain repelling RUNWAY!! :-laf

yeah dave.......

Yeah all Dave has done with that truck this year is break it, rearend troubles, now a pump. I got 10 bucks that says he gets his first hook at Stoneboro finally. Few of us headed up from WV, one pulling. See you all there.

Nathan-Gene I already have a new puller in the works for next year!!!!!!!!!Its the army tank in front of the american legion,I just need something more bulletproof... ... ... ... . Now how do I shed weight??????????????///Lets see flat green with a hemi orange frame---hum

The sled we are using Saturday will weigh the same for all the classes, not sure how much. Between 30 -40 K

The sled at Indy will add anywhere from 2000 to 6000 more pounds for Mods, normally.

However, due to track conditions at Indy, he kept it light for all the classes, and sped the box and the pan up. Sled settings are virtually limitless.

Shoot, if we ran a 10,000 pound class, House would be right there, slinging John Deere Green. Its a Ford Crew Cab mentality, that they have a big, tough truck, and could pull a semi trailer if they had a little more brake. :-laf

I hope the rain repellant works this year. Last year I was still amazed at how good the track actually was after the monsoon!!! Well we have 3 days to get rid of this rain again.

Coming from out West driving I-80 I'm thinking about cutting down to Hwy 30 at Gary IN then taking Hwy 30 all the way across IN and OH until joining I-71 at Mansfield OH.

We'll be driving it late at night/early morning so traffic should not be an issue -- just looking to avoid toll$.

Is that a good route? Much slower or faster then the I-80/90 toll roads?

Yep; I-80 is a toll road all the way across Indiana and Ohio. 450 miles of $$$$$.

I80 through Ohio sucks, we were looking for an alternate as its SO darn boring. . I took it for 200 or so miles to get my D80... was not a fun ordeal. . Their "Oasis's" are stupid as he** as well. . 55MPH speed limit for a lot of the way as well. .

I always enjoy when the toll roads are in worse shape than the mainly tax-funded highways.
