Just a thought I had. Does anyone know if an exhaust from an earlier model truck would fit on the 6. 7. I maen fit as in the exhaust tubing. I know there wouldn't be bungs for the sensors and I know it would throw codes. But would it fit.

I don't think so. I haven't actually measured it but the exhaust pipe on my 6. 7 engine looks like 5" diameter.

The 2004. 5-2007, 5. 9L CTDs all have a 4", turbo-back exhaust system. Different yaer models may have different emmissions components, but the systems are the same diameter. Hope this helps.
