I am getting ready to order some gauges from DPP. I am going to order the DiPricol White Face Black Bezel 0-100 PSI Boost Gauge and the DiPricol White Face Black Bezel 0-30 PSI Fuel Pressure Gauge. Just for added safety I was thinking of getting the DiPricol Fuel Pressure Isolator.

Now my question is, will I need any other equipment (extra tubing or anything) if I get the fuel pressure isolator or will I be good to go from what I ordered, or should I not even bother with the isolator?

Thanks in advance for the advise!!

If you are taking a vote, I did not get an isolator. I tried to use quality fittings and hose, and keep away from sharp edges. Maybe I'll check my work from time to time. I don't worry about it.

No. I was real careful when I purged the line and nothing leaks now that it is installed. It does not take much to make it smell though. The no isolator method is not something that I would recommend, it is your comfort level that will make the decision. I was and still am comfortable with the way mine is. I did ask a lot of people and half said isolator and half said either "why bother" or that they have seen isolators cause trouble and need to be refilled or repurged. So basiclly flipped a coin. Mine has only been in a year though, hopefully someone with real experience will give you some advise. Did you see Navydood's install post?

I did not read navydoods write up but it lookes like it will be very handy. I don't think I will need to drill that big a hole or even have to drill a hole at all b/c I am installing mine on the A-piller, and there is already a hole in the firewall from where i ran the tst and the ez wires through a rubber boot

I got my fuel pressure gauge from DieselManor. I run the isolator with mine. It came with the hose and fittings needed to hook up the isolator to the gauge. I had to buy the braided hose that goes from the banjo to the isolator.

I have had my gauges for 2 years and have not had any problems with the isolator. I wanted to keep the fuel out of the cab.

Well I went ahead and ordered the dipricol fuel pressure gauge and boost gauge from diesel performance parts. I also a tubing kit for the fuel psi and boost gauges. I think I will try w/o the isolator for now. In the future I want to get the rail psi gauge to fill the other hole in the a piller. If I find that I need a isolator I will disco the fuel psi gauge and get the isolator. Are the dipricol gauges good gauges? They seem to be pretty popular among peeps here. Has any one had any experience with them?

Well I got the fuel psi gauge plummed at wired, and it looks pretty sweet. I just need to know where to get the extra adapter pieces to hook up my boost gauge. I bought the kit from dpp but it does not have enough. adapter pieces for both banjo bolts and both gauges. Does any one know where to get those pieces?

what peises are you needing ? genos has most but so will your local plumming or automotive store

I need the 2 pieces that screw onto the gauge and the banjo bolt. One threds onto the gauge itself and the other screws onto that piece, which is also the pieces that the tube goes into.

My DiPricol experience has been good. I installed mine with the isolator and its been trouble free for 4 years. My dads is in there the same as mine, and no problems for a year now.

Good luck with yours.
