You all, just give out far too much good information... for this "greenhorn" to understand, but hear goes

Last weekend I installed a 2" leveling kit. It looks great and got the front end realigned. ( it needed it).

I tow my wrangler and a couple of 4 wheelers on occasion and was informed that with the truck now being level... the front end will lift with a load. Soo... would it be wise to install air bags, or to confuse the issue even more, air bags or Timbrens??

Oh, one more thing... While driving to work the other morning ( 150 miles on a back road at 1:00 a. m. ) a couple of cars flashed their lights when approaching my truck. ( this was the first time on a road I travel frequently). Does this mean that I have to realign my headlights??

Thanks, Steve

P. S. This is my 1st CTD and my 1st attempt to modify any truck. My wife "rolled her eyes" when I explained about the air-bags. Can't wait till she finds out about the new tires... :p

Yes, adjust your headlights. They are now pointing up off the road most likely.

I prefer the use of airbags to timbrens. Having had both for some time, I would not consider timbrens on anything but a plow rig.

I have the Air-lift air bags.

I plumbed mine separate from left to right.

This allows me to adjust for un-even loads.

Yes you will need to adjust your headlights.
