Just bought 2007 2500

This my first Diesel ... and looking forward to learning more about the rig ... had 97 1500 before and served me well with 260000..

So first off the 6.7 were equipped with 68RFE automatic transmission what is the best way to confirm this?

If you have a 2007 with a 6.7 and it's an auto, the it's a 68re. Generally, I believe they are referred to as a 2007.5. The data plate on the side of the valve cover will give you the engine info you are looking for.

If you open the hood and see the Batwing covering the EGR crossover it's a 6.7 and 68rfe.
