Just bought a 2001 4 by 4 5 speed

Hi all
I just bought a 2001 4 by 4 5 speed extended cab and have a couple of questions
truck has 490,000 miles, runs great, had the 5th gear update done years ago, has drum rear brakes and a stage 3 tune on it (can't remember the brand right now)

my 2 main questions are, Can the truck be flat towed behind my MCI bus and what are the usual problems that cause excessive play in the steering due to the mileage on the truck?

Dinghy guides list 4WD Rams of that year flat towable, and with manual t-case and gearbox yours should be too. Might help to see if anyone has an owner's manual in case there are any special instructions...there weren't for my first generation 4WD.

There are pages and pages about the 2nd gen 4X4 steering. The first thing you need to do is put the front end on jack stands, then crawl under it while someone moves the steering wheel. After that, search is your friend.
