Just crossed that magical BoMB barrier..

want to add a Smarty Sr (wish the jr was avail with 1/2 power, or is 1/2 power worthless?) Whats the pros/cons from smarty jr to sr?
need a new SS exhaust with full delete (dpf+muff)
possibly egr delete also

Looking to maximize mpg

Anyone have any recommendations on a retailer so I can get this stuff shipped in?

The senior has more power levels and more tuning options. The JR has just 3, 40hp (mileage), 70hp (towing), and 100hp (race), and stock HP. I have the JR and happy. I don't want, need, the extra HP that the SR can do. You can not buy a new Smarty with the ME (delete) tune. You have to find a used one (still easy) or go with the Race ME http://www.raceme.eu/ , you might notice the STRONG resemblance to the smarty. My favorite vender is source automotive in Portland OR, but the exhaust can be bought anywhere. I think you can only get the Race ME on line from the manufacturer.
If you do find a used smarty you need to make sure it is not VIN locked, there are a few for sale on www.cumminsforum.com but you are taking a chance on them if you cant try them first. The different software's for the different year trucks are easy to get also. I got my JR off craigslist's for $350 and fond the software for my 2011 on line. Since you can no longer get the delete capable smartys new, the price of the used has gone up. There is a lot of good info on tuners and deleting over on the Cummins forum. I personally would recommend the Race ME, it is the same as the JR, the Race ME pro is the same as a SR.

Thanks for the reply, gonna look for a used one that isnt too far away.. So if the programmer is for a 2003-2007, does a software upgrade make it compatible with my 2010? Or are there physical connection differences? hmm.. Seems like I need to find a Smarty J67.. The REVO software does not allow an egr/dpf delete, yes?

No, the smarty for a 2003 to 2007 will not work. You need a smarty 6.7. Any one but the newer ones with US in the serial number will work, just nerd to load the correct software
