Just Put The 10 Plate In And Now The Bottom End Power Is Gone . This Would Be Great If I Still Had My Stock Clutch . I Set The Governor Arm To Hit The Tip . I Know If I Get The Arm Up On The Ramp Some That This Should Help Me Get My Balls Back . Has Any One Counted The Turns Out On The Governor Screw Needed To Get It Some Were Near The Stock Clutch Slipping Range . I'm Sure Most Every Body Has Lost Track But If This Could Save Me A Couple Less Trips To That Back Plate Off & On. Since Its Such A Big Pita To Get At . It Would Be A Big Help Thanks . mjs

Did you adjust the AFC starwheel after putting in the new plate?

Take an 8mm allen key and remove the plug on top of the AFC housing.

Use a screwdriver to rotate the starwheel towards the engine.

I like to bottom them right out of sight and then back off until the smoke level is within reason.

Yes I Have The Spring All The Way Loose . I Put The Light Spring Kit In To . I Currently Had A 100 Plate And It Seemed To Fuel Just Right It Had A Light Linier Smoke The Whole Way And Major Grunt Off Idel Power. I Will Set The Governor Arm Higher To Increase My Lower Rpm Fueling And Try That Next. Also The New Afc Kit Seem To Be A Tough One Set To I Can't Control Smoke Like It Did Before It Use To Puff & Gone Now It Smokes Till It Hits The Plate . If I Turn It In No Smoke Then Smoke To No Smoke And No Low End At All . Well Back To The Drawling Board. Mjs.

I don't know what to tell you. If you liked the way it ran before you put the 10 in... then change it back to the way it was.

It sounds like you changed the plate and the AFC spring at the same time... changing two variables like that makes it hard to determine which one is biting you.

You can have too much fuel down low... the amount of fuel being injected (and when it is injected... ) into the cylinder directly affects how fast the turbo spools and consequently affects the low rpm torque you miss so much.

I turned the governor arm screw out two full turns and this made the power come in much sooner . I can see how the 10 plate is so ajustable to meet the needs so desired. mjs
