Thanks, TDR Staff

Sunday afternoon pot stirring.

Am I the only idiot.....

Drove I-70 from Denver to Glenwood Springs. This is the first time I have driven over "real" mountains in the CTD.

Never had to hold the pedal down for the cruise control or downshift for a hill. And the tunnels are great with the windows down. :D

Glad I don't live in Colorado. I would spend all of my time on the roads.

I have driven I-70 in rental Expeditions and never could find enough power to make it over the mtns. without slowing down.

Just thought I would share.

I live in Dillon and can see the Continental Divide from my driveway. I look at it and then my CTD and wonder which is nicer. Put 'em both in the picture and it gets a rise out of my turbo. It's a hoot to be able to motor up to the tunnel at 90 mph without the least bit of stuggle. A very pretty part of the country to live and a with little 4WDing from here brings some amazing views. Glad you folk were able to pass thru my 'lil area of God's country. Next time y'all are passing thru, check out Q4U in Frisco- Great KC style bbq! Cheers! -frank

I took an internship in Denver two summers ago working for a large concrete company on the Bronco's stadium and then in downtown Denver at 15th and Wewatta, right accross from Pepsi Stadium. I lived down in Highlands Ranch where I rented a room in a pretty plush condo from family friend. On the weekends me and the girlie would load up my '98 2500 gasser and head up into the hills to see what kind of trails/sites we could see. Spent more than one weekend camping above 9,000 feet. I miss Colorado, but not necessarily Denver. I have this thing about cities. It just takes so long to go not so far.

As great as it was, I would love to go back with my CTD. I am thinking of going back this summer, I am waiting on an offer from the same concrete company. We'll see.

Above 9000? hehehe... is that it?:D

Colorado's the best...

If only we could keep all the californians out. :D

If anyone cares the CTD runs just fine at 13,200 feet elev. I was at Turquiose Lake scuba diving (10,000 feet elev). Took mine over Mosquito Pass down into Alma then down to US285 last summer coming home from Leadville. Kind of the slow way back to Denver but what a view.

We have a small place in South Fork and go up every chance we get. Just wish we could spend more time in this beautiful state. It is really a joy to drive the CTD in the mountains, especially with the exhaust brake. I also get about 20mpg up there as opposed to around 16 here at home.

I'm probably driving out beginning of Febuary. fkovalski, I look you up when I'm there. Frisco is one of my favorite stops and I have a friend that lives in Vail. It's like my home away from home.

This will be the second drive out in the CTD. The first one was Here!

Going to hit the slopes to ski, and have a conference for work in Breck. Gotta love work paying me to Ski. :D
