Archived just died,help...!

Going up a bumpy dirt road w/ 1/4 tank of fuel my truck just died. It still has good batt. power and turns over nicely,but won't start. When it died there was no sputter or cough like a fuel prob. Maybee something electrical... relay... plug... ? Any ideas?

Check for error codes, turn your ignition key on/off 3 times

Do you have fuel pressure? Pump might of went

Check the connections to the D-Box and back of the pump. Sounds like the VP-44 isn't getting power or bus signal.

Get your self a scan tool and check for codes and let us know what you find.

My truck ran out of fuel at little less than 1/4 tank, bad sending unit. Can you hear lift pump running?

I'll second the out of fuel suggestion my brothers 98. 5 had a sending unit go out and left him out of fuel at 1/4 tank. I hope this is it. VP 44s aren't cheap the early 24 valves did have some weak injection pumps though. Rich
