Just finished with the install of the Injectors and fuel system... All i can say is WOW. Just the DDP's alone are huge. Then stacked with the smarty on 4, unbelievable and just when I thought it could not get better..... Throw the Drag on and look out! I think that there still might be Black Smoke from about an hour ago at one of the intersections i was trying 5x5 on... . :D

Just want to Thank everyone who helped me with the decision making and the People And Businesses that i purchased the parts from. Dave Goerand, Bob Wagner, Gus @ Farm Boys Diesel... ... . All you guys are great..... Thanks Again for making me a happy Cummins Owner!

Chris

Hate to say we told ya so, but we told ya so! Glad you like it..... just remember to respect it & don't hit the go pedal too hard when you see the cars with the little light bars on top!

I wish that i would have done the injector install first..... Those are some good injectors. Did ball joint replacement at the same time. I bought the ball joints from Car Quest and the lowers now come with grease fittings in them. . I was surprised... Had to replace both bearings! That hit the wallet pretty hard! $300. 00 Each side... ..... ouch!

I have had that for a while... . It def. stacks well with the other mods... my friend has basically the same set-up minus the smarty and i think that he might be buying one, he likes it that much!

Sorry... . I thought you just added the smarty & injectors. I just caught the drag & injectors... . gotcha! I blank out sometimes.

You have about the same setup as I do, but I have a little bigger set of sticks & a manual transmission. I will give you a great piece of advice after trying many combos..... a Super Stock 62 turbo will make that setup come to life. You won't believe the difference after the turbo..... feels like you gain another drag comp.

That is the advice that i am lookin for... . Thanks! That will be next on the list.
What psi do you see with that combo? I think o-ring and studs are in order first?!

I run 55psi boost, but you can always turn it down. You can probably get away with just ARP studs & run 45 psi. I just turned mine down to 45psi after loosing a headgasket from a problem with a oring. You'll love the SS62..... my favorite after HTB2 64/14, 64/12, 62/12, 62/14... ... they don't even compare.

When you say you wish you would have done the injectors first, do you mean before the Smarty? before the drag comp? or what. I just started another thread this morning asking what to do after the drag comp between smarty or injectors.

Injectors and the smarty are a great combo. I started of with the edge ez and then the smarty and edge ez stacked. If I knew then what i know now... . I think that i would have done Injectors and smarty to start with. Not that the EZ is a bad product but I was kidding myself by saying that i would be happy with the EZ...
I was running the drag and the smarty and it was/still is a great combo. I think that if i were in your position..... and i was running the drag currently... . I would go for the smarty. This will give you lots of options with different program combos. I saw some pretty good mileage numbers with smarty on 4 and drag on 1 x 3. I was happy with this set-up until i got the bug then opted for the 110's and its a whole new truck again.
I Hope this helps

I think that would be a good choice... . smarty first... . then injectors, but you just gotta try all of it together..... WOW!

Icaad,
I guess that i should have read your post before answering above. On that note, with all of the mods that he currently has, I think that i would opt for some injectors. I have the 110 DDP vaporizers and the made a HUGE difference... . Hope this helps and sorry bout the confusion...
Chris

OK... ... I have been thinking bout this while wrestling with my son and i have come to the conclusion that after he buys either, first, within the year he will be buying the other so i think that he should just buy both... ... He will be amazed!
