Well it's my turn to have lift pump failure, I also have the carter 8 psi pusher setup by the tank, installed 10000 miles ago back by the tank. I started getting weird pressure readings, 20. 2 is the normal pressure but it would go to 12 than back to normal than 14 than 10 than back to normal, called cummins and ordered a new lift pump and the drive there it dropped to 10 and stayed, the pusher was maintaining the 10 psi till i arrived home. I am glad I have the pusher and the dakota fuel gauge. Just wanted to say thanks for the heads up, and really appreciate the information on this forum. It still sucks that we have to deal with this problem, but I listened and installed the gauge first, than dealt with the insufficiant fuel delivery problem, and glad I did. thanks
