I finally got the truck tunned up today. What a difference. When I crack the throttle I get a small puff of black smoke and the turbo is alot louder. There is more of a woosh sound too. It's hard to stop driving the thing and for the most part it's still stock. It makes me want to do bad things, :-laf like spend more money and turn this sucker right up. But then I'd need a built up transmission and a seperate bank account for tires. I got the diesel bug now if I didnt have it before, this thing hauls. When the TC locks up it put's you back and the speedo seems to move in incriments of 10.

Is the woosh sound the air box, turbo, or wastegate. It's nice to hear, I wish it were louder :)

It is a combo of airbox and turbo. Opening up the airbox allows more airflow. And turning up you truck causes higher egts, which'd make your turbo spool faster. Definitely better do some work to that transmission before you get too carried away.
