This may get moved but I felt this was the best place to post. Two years ago, My wife, kids and I came up to Lake Tahoe up hwy 50 with our new truck and trailer. The trailer weighs 7,000 lbs and the truck was stock. Being the automatic, I was in second gear a few times with the worthless stock convertor slipping away and barely going nowhere!
Well after getting the BOMB sickness, I couldn't slow the truck down up the hills. With the Edge set on 2, the DDII's installed, a full DTT transmission and a '02 HO Turbo with the waste gate hose plugged, the truck became a "Pulling Monster"! I saw about 900 to 1000 egt's and ran in Drive, locked, all the way up the hill! It was sure nice to have the extra power to pass the slower Fords. EVEN my Wife commented how the truck pulled like a freight train.
It didn't come cheap though... . Thats the only bad thing!!! Chris
