For fun I went looking for my info under "members". I found another user witha similar username, "Cattleman". Here's some of his info.

<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #a3a4a6 1px solid" width="100%" colSpan=2>Cattleman Offline

</TD></TR><TR vAlign=top><TD> </TD><TD class=smallfont vAlign=bottom align=right>Last Activity: 12-31-1969 07:00 PM
</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

He's had 0 posts, which is surprising... but the real shocker is his "last activity" date. I didn't know Al Gore had invented the internet by then.

LOL Cattletrkr :)

This website dates to August 1999, started early August and I was around the 25th person to join (coming over from CDW - Cummins Diesel Website).

Wow,
It is amazing how much has changed over the last few years. I have completely forgotten how the TDR use to look.
Looking at the Message Board Load, it was a good day back in 2001 when 200 people were online, now the highest load is over 3,300 people. What a change.
You can also see the names of people that have been gone for a long time.

I think I got my 94 in December of 93 and my dealer told me about the TDR. I signed up a shortly after. I let the subscription go for a short bit but signed on again when the website was going. Sorta wish I had saved those early issues, but I tend to read them and pass them on to people I meet who seem interested.

Wow, I just realized I've had 4 different addresses in that time. (each one further north)

I have all of them in my "TDR Library" beginning with Issue No. 1. :D

Yep, the magazine has changed a lot from those early editions. In the early days, Robert Patton was the writer, editor, and publisher working out of his home office and holding down his day job at a Cummins distributor.

I noticed Steve's join date is the same as mine. Evidently he too got "dumped" when the original TDR web site went down and many of us had to "re-join". I also was a member of the previous Cummins Diesel web site.

I first heard of the TDR in the '97 sales lit I got at the '96 Farm Progress Show.

I guess my '97 was providential. :-laf Was funny to find the sales lit again after buying the truck, and them both being from the same model year. :) Been a GREAT truck. :D

As the site goes, I think I had first tried to get online about when the site was down. The banner would pop up, and nothing else.

I didn't register onto the site til about 6mths after getting the magazine. This site sucked for a 14. 4 or 28. 8k modem. Painfully slooooooooooooooooooooooooooow. :-laf

I love it!

I have been a member since 96. Got a puter in Dec 99 and been online since Feb 2000. Great site to be a part of, even better to get to meet and talk to some of it members. Its just another family in many ways. Looking at the archives brings back the " WOW " we used to use THAT?:-laf

The TDR forums started in August '99. TDR bought the old dieselram.com forum. When we switched over there were about 200 forum members.

Yep, Joe I was a member the old dieselram.com forum. I met the owner of that forum at the National TDR Roundup and Rally in Columbus, IN in 1999, if I remember correctly. I think his first name was Gary, but I don't recall his last name. Shortly after the Rally, the TDR bought the dieselram.com forum.

The previous owner was Rob Spading. He started up dieselram.com again. It has been sold to Rob Wakins and is still going.

I did some digging and found the original URL for the CDW site was http://38.164.60.219/CumminsHome.htm

Then in Feb. 1999 Rob Spading changed it to DieselRam.com to be easier to find.

I did find one Wayback page with the CDW site but it doesn't load very well
Cummins Diesel Website

Here's a post Rob Spading made about CDW on some Ford board
http://www.datenetpersonals.net/archives/abol/PWRSTRK7/messages/$WEBMSG0000000006125B00179.htm

Much of the CDW site had been archived and was saved for a few years but then accidentally got deleted. Don't remember if that happened here or on Rob Spading's site.
