Well I got Briar Hopper's fuel pressure gauge and checked the pressures and sure enough I've got problems according to what I've read. Now the question... Do I get a new one from Cummins or a different one? What's yall's thought on this? Also, I hardly ever go WOT, is there anyway to tell if the VP44 is damaged?

Idle - 11psi

Cruise - 10 psi

Accelerating - 8 - 6 psi

WOT - 0

I'd would replace the pump. Not worth the chance of ruining a VP44 pump. If you're out of warranty get the one from Cummins. It will cost around 149. 00. I don't have the latest part number, but I'm sure someone will chime in here. Also, if you do a search, you'll find the latest part number.

Cummins, Rainman

Definetly, definetly. Just had my lift pump replaced $145. 00.

Second what fj40charles said.

Have a good 4th. :D

I replaced my lift pump with the 15# carter and bought a 7# Carter for a pusher pump back by the tank. I also have a 30 micron filter to keep the pumps clean. so far I have 12-13 idle, 10-12 cruise, and no less than 8 WOT.

been doing great for several months now.

Got the kits over at jannetty racing
