Where to buy CTD parts

O. K. so I bought myself a little christmas present. Hopefully it wll reduce egt's enough to where the fuel can be turned up more! No one else seems to have one so I will pioneer it. May have to try a PDR cam next. I must say that I am kind of disappointed to hear that nascar mark is going to a 2nd gen motor. He is one of the last to have the knowledge and resources to pull more power out of our VE pump's.

It is a shame. But when your power crazy. Gotta go where the horses are at. Been there a few times my self. :D

Plus for the people in the rust free areas of the country. They might have to think about something like this also later on. As the first gen parts get more scarce then more swaps of this nature will come about to keep the old body style alive.

I wish I was only a dollar short:D

Never underestimate the power of the Dark Side! :D

Dfeland, let us know how the new turbo works out Oo.

You ordered one for me too, right? I am also interested in the results you get. If possible, I would like to know before/after egts, boost, SOTP, etc. Merry Christmas to you!

I won't be back until the 20th and I am leaving again the first part of January for Egypt for 8 months so I only have about 10 days to get it on and drive it like I stole it. I should have enough time to post the results before I leave. Al assured me that it would be worth it. I am in the same boat as many of you guys being up against that "What next" wall. After the turbo I guess a new cam would be in order but hopefully I will have enough power to break my trans. so when I get back I can call Bill K. and upgrade in that department. Wife wants a new 03' but I sure like my first gen. :{ She says it rides rough but I try to explain to her that it is the last a the "real" breed of trucks. I find as long as I have my seatbelt on and the window up that there is no danger of being thrown out so what's the big deal I tell her... :D

Unless I'm mistaken, 'wildman' is using a PDR HX35/14 as we speak. .

Oh and ya, if he changes out to a 2nd Gen system, he'll be in a class all by himself... ... ;)

Bob.

Dfeland,

Thanks for the kind words. I'm not going anywhere. You guys are the greatest. I will be working with PDR in there research and develepment for the 1st gens and 2nd gens too.

We will also try to fit a PDR HX40 on the race motor. If not twins will just have to do. The problem with twins is bottom end and every day driving and towing.

Bob,

Were still trying to figure out which class I'm going to fit in. And yes I'm running a PDR HX35 but with a 16cm housing. I haven't tried a 14 as it would hold me back on the top end. Bottom end is not a problem as I launch as hard as the top hp trucks out there. My 60ft times are the same as the 675-734hp trucks. :D

Now we just have to figure out a way to hook a VE44 to the Piers stupid P7100 pump and I'd fit with both. :D

An excellent choice :D but I don't understand your comment about pioneering though? Peers installed a similar sized unit on my 01 3500 when I was passing though BC in April 2001, when I junked my OEM HY-35 unit. I believe that Piers has brought out some minor product enhancements since then, but essentially that is what I have got and it's been performing well ever since and I have ZERO regrets.

Upto 30psi boost and better control over EGTs. Remember the Piers 12 inch HX35turbo will spool up faster than the 14 inch version (much like the old/stock)) HY-35 unit, so you should reap the benefits of any comparable "middle of the range" bombs DD2s, TC/VB, Edge etc... . where absolute balls to the wall performance is not a mandatory, daily requirement, but you want some fun occasionally without too much heartache :D:D

Say Hi! to Piers for me!!

... . later

Mark, what kind of problems have you seen with Towing using Twins, everyday driveablility is fine with mine(PDR 35 would make it better) you just have to be aware of the Smoke potential from the start.
