I got a von number, but it looks like I can't track in on line anymore?

I was able to track my 06 via the phone. I think it was through customer service. My dealer also called me weekly to inform me of the update. Once it was on the train I tried tracking it through the rail company, but that was inaccurate at best. When the rail car was "on hold," it remained on hold well after I got my truck.



Oh, and I forgot to add: Sounds like an awesome truck! I like your color choice as well.

The order system showed something about late November before they would build it, I guess it then takes a month to get it. This will be my 3rd CTD and 5th Dodge truck. By far this one will be the nicest!

I ordered an 06 last night as well and how do you get the vin number? Is it something the dealer has to get first?

The dealer will give it to you. From what I remember, the dealer will first give you a VON (vehicle order number). You can use the VON to trace the vehicle as well. The Dodge customer service gave me the VIN when it was assigned (my dealer got it for me about the same time).

... and then the painfull wait begins. Seems like the longest 6 weeks of my life. I'd get up at 3:00 am and chech the UP website to see where it was.
