Would You Believe I Just Bought a 2nd Gen ?

Just got a nice used 85 Crewcab Yesterday to convert to diesel, will need a little minor body work, typical of a work truck from 85.

I hate to tear apart my 93 Club cab with 96k, but I am looking at needing the complete front clip to put in the cross flow Radiator set up and the bed, (since it already has a Rhino liner sprayed in) for the Crewcab, also both front doors to get rid of the silly mirrors that are on the truck.



Truck had a recently rebuilt 360 and brand new

Protrans 4 speed overdrive trans, runs great but motor is already slated for my 69 Dart, Now I am in the hunt for some extras.

Looking for some info on fuel tanks, looking for something a lot bigger than stock, or 2 tanks.



So looks like plenty of work in the future

I wish it would only be a couple days, I am so busy at work, it may be 4 months till I can start on the tear down.

I am hoping on starting it late Feb next year.

LB or SB?

Hey Thierry, Long bed or short? You gotta few more options on the tank with a LB, if I remember correctly. I stuffed a 31 gallon fuel injected gas tank (It's what it holds, anyway) into my SB, a long bed would have been able to hold a longer tank.

Good luck on the gold plated core support, I'm still looking for one for mine.
 
Hutchew, I will tear my 93 Club Cab apart if I can not locate a good 92-93 truck in the next 5 months

as I will be too busy to do anything on this project roughly 6 12s days, one day off and 6 12's nights till mid Feb.



I will get the interior out of the Crew and spray in a liner into the tub and then install the interior back in as this truck has a vinyl floor and then install captains chirs into it.



I am looking for a 92-93 club cab with no motor and will wait and see what turns up, I just hate to tear this truck I have since it only has 96k on the motor, time will tell.
