What did you put in for hydraulics? Did you use the SBC adjustable slave kit? If so, did you properly adjust it after everything was in?

Its is Valair(and yes its the same stuff as SB) i adjusted it in both directions and still no go, i have pedal pressure, you can hear ir moving it but just not enough to disengage.

Have you tried pumping the clutch pedal fast & furious for at least 20-30 strokes in a row to "bleed" out any air that may have gotten in there? Does the initial travel feel softer than you'd expect?

I had reason to talk with SBC about my adjustable slave a few months ago and they said that there is a shim on it that can be removed to give a bit more throw if needed. Turned out that I didn't need to do this, so I didn't look into it, but maybe if your setup has the same thing that would help.

Could also be that the pressure plate isn't screwed in properly. That was actually what my problem was. Sheared 3 of the bolts holding it in, so it was in constant contact with the disc. If it wasn't tightened down enough or somehow put in just a wee bit off, that could be your problem, too

Oh !, but I tend to disagree-it is NOT the same as SBC. Give it a little time and see for yourself.

Well you need to do a little research before you make that statement, and if you have never had a Valair they you can not comment on them either!

And dont even turn this into a SB/Valair brand war either, that is like beating a dead horse, enough already!!

My problem was the adjustable rod that came with the hydros, was for a 3rd gen not a 2nd gen, called Dan and he over nighted me the correct one, he said it was there mistake and he would take care of it, great customer service as always!!

Enough already.

Glad that worked out for you. I hear nothing but good about Dan from his distributors and customers. This discussion reminds me of the DTT,ATS Goerend rivalries that used to be so common when I had my '99.

it just gets old after a while, i sell his stuff and have had no complaints at all, any issue that has arose has been swiftly taken care of. Thanks for all the suggestions, it only took one call to dan to get it right.
