Truck's been running great for months (had to have the lift pump replaced in early January) until just now--went to move it from the back of the house to the front, got about 300 feet, sputtered and stalled. Tried to restart, started hard, sputtered and died again. Pumped the priming bulb, tried again. Started, sputtered, died. That's the last time it did anything. Can't hear fuel moving anymore when I push the priming button. Had to have the truck towed all of 300 back to the house. Can the new lift pump be dead already? How do I check? I want to leave for the weekend tomorrow (Friday); any help would sure be appreciated.

Thanks

Paul

Are you sure it has fuel in the tank? Lift pumps last a long time so I doubt that is the problem. Try loosening the bleed bolt on top of the fuel filter and hand pumping. If you don't get fuel you probably have an air leak. How old are the fuel lines? Do you still have the heater puck installed?
