Detroit Diesel with a jet engine assist!

High Performance Duramax

Just got home from a demo/sales meeting and wow people, i have never heard of the company till now

The guy gave a very good presentation, in which the 5 of us could test all different oils on the Timken Machine.

I even brought my own fully synthetic oil that i use, Maxtron, which i had alot of faith in... .

With Maxtron i could lock the machine up with little to no effort, (same for other oils, some even worse) I could have stood on the damn lever with any of the Schaeffer's and it would of just sat there smiling and keep whistling away

The guy is a big circle track guy and had a set of bearings out of a engine that went 3. 5 years... ... they looked new, you would have to see it to believe it

Everything is Moly based and that is the trick i guess

This guys is sold is all i know, i feel bad for the old 12 valve to have anything else in it.....

id suggest everyone too look into this stuff

It is a very good oil if not the best!!!

Everyone I know who is using it claims 5-15 % better mileage too.

I've been running it for about 4 yrs. So far so good. Makes for easy starts in the winter. Also run it in my business equipment. Plus the girl that sells it to me at the distributer is a FOX.

I love Schaeffers, kinda the unsung hero of great oils. You don't hear to many people talk about them. I run Diesel treat 2000 in the fuel and Supreme 7000 in the crank.

About $4. 00 or so a quart.

Less expensive than the premuim synthetics. And it is available as a syn blend or full syn.

Was there any Royal Purple in the demo?

Merrick

No there was none of that there, though if you would have brought it you could have tested it

Mobile 1 among other full synthetic oils were though

there were no trick bottles either as all were new and he cracked the seals to open

Once the Moly was set into your bearings i can only imagine how much better they would like dry starts, esp. cold... .

there greases were the same story... .

you guys that are running it, do you have the supreme 7000 or 9000? I just picked up the 7000 myself, but I'm thinking of trying the 9000 next time. I just don't like the fact that the 7000 is CJ-4, but I was afraid of the full synthetic causing oil leaks.

After reading this thread, I went over to BITOG - Bob Is The Oil Guy website, and looked up analysis reports on the 7000 and 9000 Schaeffer stuff - looks VERY close to Delo CI4 Plus in regards to Moly, and also has Boron, as Delo does. All the comments over there were quite favorable - I forgot to see if the 7000 grade is CI4 or what...

It has been around these parts for many years. I have seen test for many different products and they are some of the best in all areas and have been for a long time. Amsoil never uses them for their test comparisons either:rolleyes: in any of their published results that I have seen. "Not saying they haven't".

The mine I work at has used the fuel conditioner for a few years and have had few issues. We average 35k gallons of diesel fuel used daily if that says anything about our operation. ;)
