New truck prices

injecting diesel before the turbo???

Made you look!!!! :-laf :-laf

But seriously, has anybody heard anything new on this? Is DC going to provide a Mega Cab with a longbed dually option? I'll be ready for a new truck in mid '07..... should be enough time for them to work the kinks out of the new 6spd auto.

from what I hear it will only be offered in the 6 foot bed. it is already useing the LWB to get the extra room in the cab, having the 8 foot bed would make it nearly impossable to turn around sharp corners

Then how do the triaxle Pete tractors pulling a dump trailer do it? All you need to do is make a wide turn. Com'on, how hard could it be?

Maybe you and I wouldn't have a problem turning, but have you noticed how many QC short bed 1/2 tons have big dents on the right side just in front of the rear wheel? :-laf Not to mention all of the duallies running around with smashed right rear fenders.

Travis. .

Found this while searching the web... ..... I would buy a shortbed dually if I had to. I could live without the extra 1. 5 feet of bed. Man, that would look sharp rolling down the road.

What do you guys think of the new front end on those trucks? I personally hate them. They made them look like the hideous Dakota's

Also I dont like how they have the badge just in front of the door, it looks really out of place there, like when they did the front end they thought, oh I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER we need to put the badges somewhere and just slapped them on.

If that is what the new front ends are going to look like, then no more Dodges for me! I don't care what is inside that disgusting looking front end.

I don't like the looks of their latest change. Guess they thought that GM style headlights were a good idea. Gag. :( I'm still getting used to the looks of the way the 3rd gens already are.

At this time, unless D/C decides to make more than 2 frame lengths, a Mega-cab long-box will never happen.

Ford already makes a crew-cab, short-box dually. Looks stupid to me.

Hmm I guess it's all matter of opinion... . I like the way the new trucks look, and I think the short bed dually ford looks pretty slick. I have a friend that had one.

I am confused. . How does 1. 5 feet of bed make such a difference for y'all? I will never be able to have a shortbox, just due to the fact that some of the trailers I pull are the full width at the nose, being as wide as the rear. If I were to have a shortbed, I would have crunched the back of the cab in so many times by now from having to get into some tight spots I have encountered.

Shortbeds are cute, and some look cool. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. After you put a toolbox in a shortbed, there is not much room left. I like being able to have my 'Coffin' Ice Chest between my toolbox and my gooseneck trailer, and still have room for 2 more behind the gooseneck ball as well.

If the Megacab is only offered in shortbed, it's a shame. It's just like a friend, who had a 1996 Chevy Z-71 LWB. They told him when he ordered it, to get the 3rd door, he had to have a short box.  Oh well, he went with the Long bed, and it looks really sharp!

I guess to each their own, but for me, its got to be a long bed!

Don't get me wrong, I would much rather have a long-bed for the exact reasons you need on CH, I'm really hoping that Dodge does eventually come out with a third chassis just for this purpose, but I'm not gonna hold my breath over it. I'm not going to be in the market for a new truck until middle of 2007 anyway, maybe by then I'll be able to afford an F-650 with a cummins! ... . I would much rather have the Dodge though, But is seems like we don't have a whole lot to choose from. :(
