Just Scored my motor!!!

Well the fun can now begin. After what seems like years, I have finally found a donor truck for my conversion. Early 98 P7100 215 HP motor, NV 4500 Trans, looks like a NP 208 (Chain drive???) transfer case, plus the rest of the truck: 3500 dually club cab. Scored it for $4000. 00 cash. Will keep ya'll informed on my progress. Thanks for listening, gotta go change my drawers, as I have pee'd my pants. See ya's.

Actually, the T-case should be a NP241HD, really stout for a chain case. What are you going to do with the rest of the truck? I might be interested in some stuff for my project.

Where did you run across this good of a deal?

I have a good friend who works at a local wrecking yard here, and he has been watching for a truck like this one for me. This truck has been hit hard at a rearward angle on the passenger side right where the cab and box meet. Truck body and frame are totalled, but all the drivetrain and running gear are still good. The deal I made was that for $4000, I can pull whatever I want off the truck, and then give them the rest of the truck back (whatever's left) so they can scrap the rest of the truck out. The price they had on the engine, trans and transfer case (if I didn't take it) was $8000. 00. I figure I gotta heck of a deal. Now I need to find a 90-93 donor truck for the interior parts. Anybody got sum?
