Can a DC Tow pkg be installed later

Went to look at campers this weekend. Why is it that slide ins cost so much more per foot than a travel trailer?

The most expensive components in a RV are the accessory systems. Hot water, refrigerator, furnace, power convertor, air conditioner, plumbing, etc. The costs of these expensive components are the same regardless of whether the RV is 8 feet long or 40. :(

I've wondered about that too. You'd think truck campers would be cheaper because there are no axles/wheels/etc.

Campers these days have to try to keep up with the amenities found in TT and fivers. They pack in the features to apeal to the small market crowd. I looked at a high end Lance, and was impressed. If I was travlin alone I would consider one. Most today are built pretty stout.
