2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission just wondering

How good the 2nd gen air boxes seal. In the past I have noticed what looked like some dirt got around to sealing edge of my filter and put a little filter grease on to help seal it. I also noticed that the clamps don't hold the top down very tight.



I was just wondering if anyone else has or had any problems?

N, that's one of the reasons I looked for and found the filter now known at the BHAF.



I was shopping for a second truck and at auctions I'd check the air filter and started to notice that the clean side of the housing was dirty on many.



I'd say out of 30 truck, 5+ were dirty above the filter. A little grease has to help.
