k guys need help on decision!!

need help on decision. TST or banks?

ok everyone i just installed a banks six gun, and i think for what they are claiming it works well. i gained 118hp and 240tq has alot of nice safety features maybe too many for me!! well my question is i am down to the choice of keeping the banks settup or going with the tst. . trying to be honest and on this BOMB bug it never stops so i figure there will be the need for more down the road, any suggestions? or maybe someone in my area that has one on their 3rd gen that will give me a ride to see the difference. thanks for the input everyone!

Ask yourself what you're looking for. How much do you want to spend? What do you want to do with this truck?



The TST is a great box but without a certain amount of self control it can be very damaging. The six gun will realistically provide all the fuel the stock turbo, intake, exhaust, and fuel system will handle so how far do you want to go? It is your call.

hey thanks Scott. i thought i had it filled out but obviously not. well money aside because thats not really an issue. i want a truck that i can pull up next to someone and smoke the doors off, and be able to tune it down and be able to pull the grapevine with our gooseneck horse trailer at 65 and not overheat. i figure im gonna need a transmission here pretty quick and maybe a super B then everything should ok as far as exhaust temps and reliability as long as i dont crank it all the way up. ive got a SO so i have a little room to play around . how does the tst and the B2 do towing wise, mileage? thanks for the help

Tows great, spools very well. I've got the 250hp SO also and it runs well, tows good too. You're transmission will be needed, and a Super B, HTB2, or B1-04 would be a step up turbo wise. Twins being the ultimate. I'll probably end up going there. It's an addictive sport, I love it.



I'm averaging 18 MPG mixed driving with my setup and a 5 speed. Used to be a little better but hte lift cost me some in aerodynamics.
