I see a lot of K&N filters in the signatures. Is that with or without the Psychotty housing? What is the EGT reduction with just the filter? #ad

Gary. . Both with and without... most guys would say Psychotty if they had it. .
as far as egt's you will hear 150 to 250 touted with Psychotty. . without- minor #'s but good spool up. . the filter that goes in the unit is # RE0880 K&N.
BTW on 4/7 we are getting together at Brandons in Modesto come on down. . your a local #ad
there will be 20/40 [or more it looks like]trucks and you can see all the goodies that we play with

I just put in a K&N filter prior to a DD stage 2 injector install(as per their recomendations)
EGT's seem only about 100 degrees higher at WOT with the DD'2s and the K&N, but I didn't try the new injectors with the stock filter so I have no 'degrees' to report on that.

K&N filters are a very divisive subject around the old TDR board. I won't post a pro-paper or pro-cotton opinion. I will warn you however, that for a LOT of owners here, a replacement aftermarket air filter was the first small step that culminated in $erious BOMBing addiction. Choose wisely and let the fun begin.

TOPFUEL: Too late. I already have gauges, sissy bars, mudflaps and am looking at the $eriou$ stuff. You can never have enough goodies for your toys.

You can always remove the foam part of the stock filter and glue it a couple of places to the bottom of your K&N to help with dust. This is what I'm going to do this summer when the dust from our new home building lots gets too bad.
