It is time for a air filter change and I was thinking of going to a K&N filter. Since K&N filters allow for greater air intake, are there any adjustments that have to be made?

Thanks

OH NO

Here we go with the KN debate again:eek: ,

Wadester do a search on kn filters and do a lil reading:-laf get a cup of coffee first and be prepared for some:-{} and some#@$%!

there is a ton of info out there. read on and Ram on buddie, we will let you decide:)

I've said it before and I will say it again - after 143,000 miles and an oil analysis at each change - my contamination levels remain the same. I have never had a sample that was not OK'd for continued use - even after swiss cheesing the airbox. The 1st gen airbox provides an excellant seal to prevent contamination. I now have 2 K&Ns so that I can just switch and go the clean the dirty one at my leasure. :D

5 years running, no problems. My 89 had 250,000 trouble free miles, and now put that filter in this one. Wouldn't ever go back to paper. .
