Hello. I have the K&N filter set up. I have read that the filter does not filter as good as others. Is there a better filter that will fit on the end of the plastic tube? Thanx.

I have the K&N cold air system and changed the filter to a Amsoil EaAU 4090. The nice thing about this filter is, it's a dry filter. NO OIL!!! Just simply blow it out or vaccum it clean. Also it seems to keep the filter minder from being sucked down into the red as quick as the K&N filter did.

Run a clean white rag into the tube going from the filter to the turbo and see if any dust is getting through. I have a K&N and check that way once in a while. So far the K&N is doing its job.

I have the K&N intake and after three years of running it, with a pre-filter, I switched to an Amsoil filter. I have gone through two K&N airfilters with no problem as far as dirt entering the system in about 60k. , but decided to switch to the Amsoil about a month ago. With the K&N filter, I saw a max of 28-29 lbs of boost with the stock boost elbow. Now I see 35 lbs of boost with the Amsoil filter, same setup. I never had a problem with the K&N filter and don't have enough mileage to judge the amsoil, but i'm pleased so far.
